What is Bridges Out of Poverty?
|
This program is being offered as a means of Bridging Poverty, whether generational or situational. With
the assistance of the four areas of specific training - survival skills, life skills, case management and
budgeting, we hope to move each individual from the present areas of poverty to a way in which
individuals can do better. The four areas of specific training will help to form the guide lines for the
development of resources to better survive in today's world.
How does the program work?

Helping to Span the Bridge Out of Poverty
|
- First you fill out an application for services in the Bridges Out of Poverty Program. Upon filling out
the application, a case management file will be established upon which all information that you
provide on the application will be verified and a needs assessment will be completed. All
information on the application must be correct, if not, this could cause your application to be denied.
- Secondly, if the first step is completed and all information and needs assessment shows a need,
then the individual application will be rated on a needs basis. Upon completion of this process, you
will be notified that you have been accepted to participate in the "Bridges Out of Poverty Program."
- Thirdly, you will be required to enroll in four specific training classes that must be completed in a
timely manner. You will be provided a lab facility (travel trailer) in which to conduct all studies
during the specific program training. The training will last 48 month. The charge for the specific
training programs will be $175 per month.
- Upon completion of the program, the title of the travel trailer is transferred to the client at no cost.
