Mission Statement
The mission of the Cookson Hills Community Action Agency is to plan, conduct and
administer Community Actions programs in Adair, Cherokee and Sequoyah
Counties. To design programs and projects that will have an impact of alleviating
and eradicating poverty in the three counties. To work with three significant groups
in the community; the public sector, the private sector and the poor. To seek out,
identify and eliminate the causes of poverty in the three counties. To make the entire
community more responsive to the needs and interests of the poor by mobilizing
available resources and bringing about a greater sensitivity on the part of area
institutions.
